Father’s Day - Through The Eyes Of Our Enriched Team Dads

Father’s Day 2023 is this weekend, which presents an opportunity for celebration, reflection, and open conversations as we honour fathers. Whether you are a dad, a grandpa, a ‘father-figure’ to someone, or are the child of a dad, we can each experience connections to fathers in unique ways. Father’s Day is a day that can bring up mixed emotions, depending on what each of our personal journeys with fatherhood have looked like.

We’ve interviewed two of our Enriched Team Dads. Bavin and Tope share their experiences as dads in this special interview…

Enriched Care (EC): What’s your name, and who’s in your family?

Bavin: I’m Bavin and my family includes my wife, Anitta and my little adorable daughter Anorah Mary. We love to call her "Anna" at home.

Tope: My name’s Tope, my wife is Funmi and daughter is Jasmine.

EC: What’s the best thing about being a dad to your unique and wonderful children?

Bavin: Being a father to my lovely daughter, I get extremely excited seeing how she is attaining her milestones, even from her first cry, smile and giggles.

Tope: The best thing is the responsibility and being able to cater for them.

EC: How has Enriched Care as an employer, supported you as a working father?

Bavin: Enriched supports me with a well-balanced, flexible work schedule so that my wife and I can work and take care of our little girl too.

Tope: Enriched Care has supported me through its flexibility of shifts and by allowing me to look after my family whenever the need arises.

EC: How has our team and/or participants inspired you as a father in your own life?

Tope: The team and participants have influenced my passion and empathy to humanity.

EC: Do you have any ‘hacks’ that help you balance work and life?

Bavin: My hack for balancing family and work life is simple; by helping my wife with household work and taking my daughter for walk. If my wife is happy, our family is happy and I feel less stressed too!

Tope: Good sleep and exercise.

EC: How do you feel when Father’s Day comes around each year?

Bavin: As it’s my first Father's Day, I am eagerly waiting and super excited to hear "Appa" (Dad) from my daughter for the first time.

Tope: I feel so special. It’s a call for more responsibility to my family.
