Esk Retreat is a thoughtfully designed nine-bedroom property that offers both independence and a sense of community for our participants. Divided into three tenancies, it provides Supported Independent Living (SIL) arrangements that balance personal space with opportunities to build meaningful relationships.

Supporting a Smooth Transition
Moving into Esk Retreat was a collaborative effort guided by our values. We focused on building connections by fostering open communication between participants, families, and support workers. Familiar faces among the staff and extra shifts ensured everyone felt comfortable and supported.
While challenges like adjusting to new routines and integrating new participants arose, we leaned into our commitment to “how we can.” Adjustments to shift schedules, additional guidance from team leaders, and regular feedback sessions helped smooth the transition. By providing a safe space where participants and staff could grow together, we ensured that each individual’s unique needs were met.
